Rosie Russell M.Ost - Principal Osteopath and Director of Health House Clinic, Exeter
Rosie has a wealth of experience treating with both, structural and cranial osteopathy. She is not only able to ease pain and tension but also able to recommend tailored exercises to strengthen weak areas and aid rehabilitation.
Rosie graduated with a Masters' degree in Osteopathy in 2014, after a four-year intensive course at Oxford Brookes University. She worked as an associate osteopath in busy and prestigious clinics throughout the South-West. Rosie then set up her clinic in Exeter in 2015, her excellent reputation has built Health House Clinic.
She is passionate about osteopathy and its ability to produce great benefits in pain management and general wellbeing. Rosie is also an experienced Sports Massage Therapist (ITEC Level 3 Qualification) having treated a wide range of patients including olympic athletes.
She has gained a mat-work Pilates qualification in order to correctly and safely rehab her patients and give specific stretch and strengthening advice.
Rosie has a particular interest in cranial osteopathy and treating paediatric patients. She has continued her post-graduate professional development with study in these fields.
Rosie successfully set up and ran Plymouth Marjon University Osteopathy clinic throughout 2019 - 2020, while tutoring student osteopaths.
She now devotes her time to treating her patients, looking after Health House and surfing in the South Hams.
Rosie is available throughout the week.
Matthew Abbott BSc (Hons) Ost Med - Osteopath
Having graduated in 2003, after completing a four year full time degree in osteopathic medicine in Surrey, Matthew brings a wealth of experience to his osteopathic practice. He has developed a passion and expertise for treating neck pain, headaches and back pain, as well as arthritic conditions, whiplash and sports injuries. Matthew has worked with a number of leading osteopaths over the years, helping to develop his knowledge and skills, contributing to his informed approach to practice. He regularly provides treatment to a wide range of people from new born babies to the elderly.
Matthew has completed a Dry Needling/Acupuncture course, as a well as postgraduate courses in Cranial Osteopathy. Matthew takes time to consider each individual’s needs, lifestyle and personal circumstances, to ensure the course of treatment is specifically tailored to each patient. Matthew takes an holistic approach to his work, offering a range of treatments including cranial, soft tissue techniques and gentle articulation. He is also highly skilled in spinal manipulation. Matthew is a member of a local osteopathic group to support his ongoing professional development and has a wealth of experience in injury prevention.
Alongside his passion for osteopathy, Matthew enjoys gardening, travel and a wide range of sports including tennis, running and surfing.
Matt is available Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and some Saturdays
Isabella Yianni M.Ost, PG Cert SPOP- Osteopath and Specialist Paediatric Osteopath.
Izzy graduated from University College of Osteopathy with a Masters’ degree in osteopathy and is fully registered with GOsC (10363) after many years of working in the health and wellness industry.
Izzy enjoys a tailored approach for each patient. She will take time to understand each individual, their needs and their goals and provide them with a personalised care plan. She does this by using a variety of osteopathic techniques, rehabilitation and advice.
Since qualifying Izzy has developed an interest in women’s health and paediatric patients. She has recently completed a Post-graduate Certificate in Specialist Paediatric Osteopathic Practice (PG Cert SPOP) allowing her to provide safe, effective and evidence informed care.
Izzy has a great empathy for her patients’ complaints and looks forward to meeting you soon.
Izzy is available on Mondays and Tuesdays.
